This one-day course is perfect for the beginner dressmaker who’s ready to take their first step into garment making.

You’ll learn how to confidently read, use and adjust a simple commercial pattern, applying all of these skills to create your very own pair of comfy lounge pants – the perfect project to begin your dressmaking journey.

During the day you’ll learn how to:

• Take accurate body measurements

• Choose the correct pattern size

• Understand the information on a commercial pattern envelope

• Interpret pattern markings and symbols

• Cut out and assemble your garment with guidance

You’ll sew at your own pace – no pressure, no rush – just plenty of support and encouragement from Tanya every step of the way.
